Commercial HR Support That Helps SMEs Grow With Confidence

About Our Founder

I’m Sarah Wilkinson, founder of S. Wilkinson HR Consulting Ltd. I am a CIPD Level 7 qualified HR Consultant with significant experience across HR strategy, employee relations, organisational development, cultural change, people development and employment legislation.

Enthusiastic, organised and results focused, I am skilled at translating business strategy into practical people solutions that support performance, confidence and sustainable growth.

Before setting up my consultancy in 2017, I held senior HR roles supporting leadership teams, managers and employees across complex operational environments. Since then, I have worked with clients across a range of sectors, including private businesses, care, not-for-profit, national and global organisations.

My work often involves helping businesses navigate sensitive and complex people challenges, but my style is grounded in trust, clarity and pragmatism. I care deeply about the people at the heart of every company, while understanding the commercial realities leaders face. My role is to help you make sound decisions, manage risk and achieve the right outcome while treating people with fairness and respect.

Clients describe me as approachable, pragmatic, professional and supportive, with the ability to expertly manage complex cases and find effective resolutions to delicate challenges. That is the heart of how I work: commercially astute HR advice, delivered with warmth, honesty and a genuine commitment to getting the right result.

  • Professional HR expertise

As a CIPD-qualified HR consultant, Sarah ensures your business operates with compliant, ethically sound, and strategically aligned people practices. The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) is a globally recognised professional body.

  • Helping people understand themselves and others

As an Insights Discovery practitioner, Sarah also helps individuals, managers and teams develop greater self-awareness, understand their communication preferences, and recognise the impact they have on others. Used well, this can support leadership development, strengthen constructive working relationships and improve team dynamics.

  • Employment law insight and practical guidance

As a member of the HR Inner Circle, founded by leading employment law barrister Daniel Barnett, Sarah remains closely connected to current employment law thinking, practical HR best practice and forthcoming changes under the Employment Rights Act 2025. That means you get support that is legally informed, commercially sensible and delivered with clarity, compassion, often over a coffee, and always with a practical way forward.

I believe great HR should never be overly corporate, unnecessarily complicated, or disconnected from business reality. My approach is pragmatic, commercially grounded, and tailored to the unique needs of each client. Sarah Wilkinson
